while really cool in the movie as well, "mad eye" moody was definitely given a "hollywood" make-over to make him viable for the big screen.

"goblet of fire" was the first book i read before the subsequent movie was released, and so i had my own minds-eye view of what "mad eye" moody should look like. the way she described him, i pictured the "magicked" eye ALL blue (with a red pupil, of all things... that was a vynsane-only embellishment.) and he looked generally like "jonah hex" of DC comics fame.

in the movie he isn't missing part of his nose, which while not integral to the character, was definitely pointed out on more than one occasion. well, here's my vision of the greatest auror to have ever lived.
