a straight-forward superman/superboy archetype turns everything you know about the mythos on it's ear

for some reason i gave "invincible" a try from the starting gate. i don't know what made me do it, but it intrigued me. for the first year or so, it was a pretty straight-forward superboy riff with minor, though marked, distinctions. however, with a series of stunning revelations, robert kirkman turned his version of the superman story upside-down and it was freakin' awesome.

here's my interpretation of the image comics universe version of superboy. the pose is based on the cover to "superman archives v. 1" as an homage back to the original archetype.
